LA Diaries: The Young and the Restless and As The World Turns come together in a storyline crossover set in sunny California. L.A. Diaries explores the complicated and intriguing lives of these characters before their swap from Y&R’s Genoa City and ATWT’s Oakdale. The show is spurred from Y&R’s Amber and ATWT’s Alison chance meeting in a bar. Using a combination of details from each show, as well as entirely new elements, an intriguing plot between the two fan-favorite characters unfolds in an unlikely scenario. The series enabled the launching of new stories on each of the shows, and promoted a unique genre of intermingled storylines based in well-established soap roots.
